My word of year I have been pondering for such a long time. It may seem like a simple word that I chose I mean there are THOUSANDS and I chose do? From seeing blogs like Kristin choosing Free and Molly with Invest. The reason I am certain about this is because I had four paragraphs written and deleted it all with a blank page and saying to myself I just won’t post like WHAT?!!!
The reason I chose do was from the sense that we have thoughts, dreams, and hopes. It takes a certain amount of certainty to complete or go towards our goals. My mind has great ideas, I have a very active imagination. There’s a little snake that creeps in mind, let’s call him Chad. Snake whispers in my mind, and I loose imagination, motivation, and every will to accomplish those dreams. It’s time to take Chad out of that beautiful mind of yours and put in some better influences. Let’s put some snake protectant, glitter, and love in there!
Just today, I was so overwhelmed with my first week at school (yes in only one week) but I started to write down what I needed to do for each class, and by the end of this week. I then planned out my day (while in class I’m telling you I would’ve melted right there if not) and I have never gotten so much done. It takes a lot to do what you set out but it is so rewarding. Planning also is essential to taking action.
I am incorporating a little bit of what I want to accomplish as a ‘resolution’ you could say. I want to write more blog posts which I’ve been getting better at it but I am starting to write it in my calendar. I want to workout for at least 3 hours every week, I am taking a PE type of class so that will help motivate me in that goal. I want to read a book every 3 weeks or less, I checked two at the library I might even feature some that I love on the blog. I want to re-start my YouTube channel and post not only vlogs but actual covers to songs as well!
This word is very hard for me to stick to. I had this post written almost a week ago I just didn’t conclude it or put effort into the ending then I kept putting it off. If you’re taking on this word or something like it for the new year I hope you learn and apply the word. That’s all I can hope for. I am applying it from here on out and I hope you do as well.
