Hey, I’m FINALLY almost done with this semester! From figuring out my life, dealing with people, boys, school, and a million of other things while out here I was super excited (and relieved) to come back home. I like to take things one moment at a time and being back at was more than amazing. I have been reflecting a lot on my life, my blog, and the direction I want to go with it all. While I’m still growing being the best student, and person I can be I am grateful for the place that shaped me into who I am. Enough of my deep thinking I’ll let you know what I did and recap this Thanksgiving break for you!
It started taking a four hour drive back home– did I say four? Yes I did, the normal two just wasn’t enough for the Thanksgiving traffic. Super super super thankful for you @Connor
I got home, went and surprised my Grandma at church. She was surprised to see me. I went home then I went out to see my cousins that night and to see a friend back at home it was super laid back and chilled.
Next day, I did a lot of studying, watching Netflix, and enjoying alone time while eating something other than d hall. I finally got my hair trimmed after a trillion years it’s so nice to have someone else shampoo and condition for a change. My aunt was have a Pre-Thanksgiving dinner and it was so good! She has to work on Thanksgiving so it was nice to see her (and taste her food.) Later on, intended to go to an open mic with friends it ended up getting cancelled and we went to another coffee shop. One person I was super thankful to see over this break was Aby! I love her so much, and her life has just been taking off. Super excited to hear about her life.
Thanksgiving day, my family is very lenient on time and last minute for some things. I spent a lot of the day watching Gilmore Girls. When I realized that it was getting later and I needed mac-n-cheese I went to my cousin’s mom’s house. There was great food and I was having fun playing games. I then came home and at more. Spent time with family and overall had a good day.
On Friday I told myself to get it together and study. I went to my #1 favorite coffee shop back at home. After being there I while I forgot it was Friday! I called Aby asked her if she was still going to the game and I went home changed my outfit and rushed back out. It was the second round of conference and they won. It was nice being there. Weird also and I would not go back again by myself.
On the weekend, I just did more studying, exploring downtown, and then eventually going back to school.
Just super thankful that I can say I spent time with my mom, family, and friends. I hope you had an amazing Thanksgiving, and if you are from another country then I hope that you had a good week, and are surrounded by people you love. Make sure you stay updated with me and tell me how your holiday/week went!
